In order to implement personal data protection and management measures, follow relevant laws and regulations of the "Personal Data Protection Act", protect the personal data rights of individuals, reduce possible impact of any personal data file infringement, and continue to operate and improve the personal information management system, Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Office (hereafter referred to as the Office) issue the personal information management policy statement of the Office.
The personal information management policy statement of the Office is as follows:
1. The Office collects only necessary personal data based on a lawful specific purpose and will not improperly collect or process excess personal data.
2. When collecting personal data, the Office will clearly inform the parties how and by whom their personal data will be used.
3. The personal data collected by the Office will only be processed appropriately and relevantly, fairly, and legally. The collected personal data will be stored in accordance with the law or for legal purposes and within a designated time period, and all personal data will be stored securely.
4. The Office will establish and maintain lists of personal data sorted by categories and ensure the accuracy of personal data and update data when necessary.
5. The Office respects the rights that the parties may exercise over their own personal data, which include: to check or review the collected data; to receive a photocopy of the collected data; to supplement or revise the collected data; to cease the collection, processing or use of the collected data; and to delete the collected data.
6. The Office will only transfer personal data internationally if permitted by laws and competent authorities or without prohibitions and restrictions, and with proper protection.
7. The Office will ensure the appropriateness and legality of personal data usage when the use of personal data is applicable to the exceptions permitted by the "Personal Data Protection Act."
8. The Office establishes and implements its personal data management system in accordance with the law to implement personal data protection policies, identify internal and external stakeholders and their participation in the governance and operation of the personal data management system.
9. The Office will clearly define the responsibilities and obligations of relevant personnel during the operation of the personal data management system.
The issuance of this statement clearly declares that the Office highly values the importance of maintaining personal data management, and requires all staff to fully understand the content of this statement in order to maintain the security and sustainable operation of all personal data files in the Office.
