[February 19th, 2021, Updated]
Following the instructions of the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), the Ministry of Education announced that schools can start the entry procedures for international degree-seeking students in Spring semester 2021, including the recipients of one-year Mandarin course of MOFA Scholarship.
I. Before entering Taiwan:
1. Certificate of negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test results issued within three days prior to boarding the flight to Taiwan.
2. Students must stay at designated hotels, government quarantine centers, or off-campus school dormitory approved for quarantine purposes, one person per room.
II. When entering Taiwan:
1. Students must complete the 14-day quarantine requirement and additional 7-day self-health management. Schools should keep track of student’s health status.
2. Government quarantine centers will assist to arrange hospital staff to take the test at the quarantine centers. If the test result is negative, students can leave the quarantine centers when completing the 14-day quarantine requirement.
3. Other relevant quarantine procedures, please implement by the requirements of the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC.)
It is estimated that the entry time of overseas degree students may pass the beginning of the new semester, due to the following reasons, the required valid documents, like visa, ARC, and entry/exit permit, un-fully resume operations of international flights, certificate of negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test results issued within three days prior to boarding, and completion of suitable quarantine centers booked in advance.
Therefore, the ministry of education has already asked schools to arrange for students properly to do all the chores, meanwhile, offer a flexible study system and immediate assistance.
